He has written a number of works on the Second World War, including five of this collection, some of which are novels of historical fiction and others are informative history books. This collection is comprised of the following: 'Fighter: The True Story of The Battle of Britain' (1977). A historical work exploring the Battle of Britain in 1940. 'Blitzkrieg: From the Rise of Hitler to the Fall of Dunkirk' (1979). Meaning 'Lightning War', Blitzkrieg presents the strategic campaigns during the Second World War. 'Battle of Britain' (1980). A historical work on the Battle of Britain, 1940. 'XPD' (1981). This interesting novel is set in two eras, split between 1940 and 1979. With themes of conspiracy, secrecy and treachery as characters navigate the Second World War and its aftermath. 'Goodbye Mickey Mouse' (1982). This exciting spy novel is set on an American air base during the Second World War. 'The Len Deighton Companion' (1987), written by Edward Milward-Oliver. This work presents Len Deighton's life and works, including a chronology of first editions of his writings, an overview of themes used, as well as an interview with Deighton himself. In the publisher's original cloth binding, with the original dust wrappers. Externally, excellent, with light bumping and the occasional mark.
